Your Parish Council Needs You

Long Wittenham Parish Council has a vacancy for a councillor. Currently, there are six councillors, one short of the recommended number.  Could you provide a voice for people living in the village?

The parish council is involved in many key areas of local administration: representing residents, delivering services to meet local needs and improving quality of life and community well being.

A full strength council will be better placed to tackle these challenges, so please consider ‘doing your bit’ to help to shape the future of the village.

The council would especially like to recruit from Saxons Heath which at the moment is not represented, but people living in all parts of the village are welcome to apply.

To be eligible as a parish councillor you must be:

1) Over 18 years of age;
2) Registered to vote or have lived, worked, or owned property in Long Wittenham for at least 12 months;
3) A British citizen or an eligible Commonwealth citizen.

For more information speak to any of the councillors (see the link below) or contact the parish clerk at clerk@longwittenham.com or call 01865 407110.
