SODC Charity Lottery Launches

Tickets for South Oxfordshire District Council’s new community lottery go on sale today (Tuesday 27th March).  The online SO Charitable Lottery raises funds for local voluntary and charitable groups.

Tickets cost £1 and have to be bought via the website.  The first draw will take place on 28th April and will then run weekly.  There is a one in fifty chance of winning a prize, with a jackpot of £25,000.  From each ticket bought, 60p will go to good causes and the local community.  The rest of the money will go to the prize fund and running costs – the council will not receive any of the proceeds.

Local good causes have been invited to register as beneficiaries and players can choose which cause they support when they purchase tickets.

To buy tickets, or if you represent a good cause working in South Oxfordshire that would like to apply as a beneficiary of the lottery, visit www.socharitable.co.uk or contact SO Charitable Lottery by calling 01235 364333 or email support@socharitable.co.uk.
