Extra Garden Waste Collection

Residents who have purchased a permit for the district council’s brown bin garden waste collection service in South Oxfordshire can have extra garden waste collected for free on their normal scheduled collection day 4th April.

Permit holders can put out a maximum of up to four additional sacks of garden waste, per brown bin subscription, next to their brown bin. Continue reading

Pendon Museum Pop-up Café

The pop-up café at Pendon Museum will be open again on Wednesday 2nd April from 10am to 12:30pm.

This is a free drop-in event, with just a small charge for drinks and cake to cover the costs.  All donations from the cakes go to support a local group, so please go along and support it if you can.

County Council Elections

Polling will take place on Thursday 1st May to elect sixty-nine councillors to Oxfordshire County Council.

Our current councillor, Dr Pete Sudbury, who represents the Green Party, is standing down at the election.  He was first elected in 2019.

Dog Fouling

The Parish Council has had reports of dog fouling on some of the footpaths around the village.

Dog owners are reminded to always clear up after their dogs.  Please scoop that poop into a bag and put it in one of the numerous litter bins around the village, all of which can be used.  If a public bin is full, please take the waste home and dispose of it in your own bin. Continue reading
