South Oxfordshire District Council (SODC) has asked the Parish Council to share the following important information with residents about the upcoming General Election on Thursday 4th July.

- Find out who you can vote for from 4pm on 7th June, after the nominations period has closed: whocanivotefor.co.uk
- Register to vote by 18th June: gov.uk/registertovote
- Apply to vote by post by 19th June (5pm): gov.uk/apply-postal-vote
- Apply for voter ID by 26th June (5pm): gov.uk/apply-for-photo-id-voter-authority-certificate
- Apply for a proxy vote by 26th June (5pm): gov.uk/apply-proxy-vote

SODC is also looking for enthusiastic people to work at the election.
If you or someone you know (over the age of 18) is interested in working either of the following paid roles, please apply as soon as possible and encourage your friends and family to do the same:
- Polling station staff – locations across South Oxfordshire, Thursday 4th July, from 6.30am until 10.30pm – from £200
- Overnight Count staff – Abingdon, from 9.30pm on Thursday 4th July until counting has been completed (expected to be by 8am the following morning) – £22.50 per hour
