Clifton Hampden Stores

The proprietors of Clifton Hampden Stores write:

We are living in unprecedented times and during this crisis we are doing our best to source the goods that people need us to provide.  Stocks at suppliers are limited and we are restricted in what we are able procure.  It is therefore necessary to follow the example of the Supermarkets and limit the sale of some items so we have enough to go round.  Rest assured we are working with our suppliers to maintain stocks.

Whilst stocks are difficult to procure, we are having to do far more trips to differing Continue reading

After a five-month delay, the council has reluctantly accepted the Plan which councillors say will cause “environmental destruction” with an excess of new homes being built in the district.

Didcot Road Works Update

Many residents have expressed concerns about Vanderbilt Homes’ proposals to re-align the Didcot Road to facilitate the entrance to its housing development on the corner of Fieldside and Didcot Road.

The company does not own the land required to create the appropriate safety ‘vision splays’ either side of the entrance and its solution to this problem is the road re-alignment.  This would potentially lead to months of delays.

However, the Parish Council now hopes that talks in the near future between Vanderbilt, Continue reading
