This is another ‘discharge of conditions’ which means it deals with one of the conditions specified by the planning inspector when the outline planning permission was granted for the site in January 2018.

Village Events Hit By Virus

Three village events have become casualties in the drive to slow down the spread of Coronavirus.

The Annual Parish Assembly at which village groups and organisations present reports was cancelled yesterday (12th March).  The Good Neighbours Group meeting on the same day was postponed.  The Lunch Club called off the March meeting and all future lunches until further notice.

Annual Parish Assembly – Cancelled

In view of the likely announcement by the Government of further measures to combat the spread of Coronavirus, tonight’s Annual Parish Assembly has been cancelled.

It is hoped that it will be re-scheduled later in the year when the current crisis has passed.

Revised Plans Submitted

Vanderbilt Homes submitted the ‘Reserved Matters’ planning application for its housing development on the corner of Fieldside and Didcot Road in November last year.  The application covered issues such as landscaping, layout and design, scale, and market and affordable housing mix.

Community Speedwatch

With the longer days and better weather, the village’s Community Speedwatch team hopes to be out in the village with the Community Speedwatch equipment over the coming few weeks.

The data that is collected, on vehicle speeds in general, will support the case for more direct measures, such as siting a mobile camera van in the village.  But more volunteers are needed to operate the Speedwatch.
