It’s all change at Long Wittenham Athletics Club. Long serving president Bill Symonds has stepped down after fifteen years in the role and has been replaced by former chairman Derek Meadham. The Friends of St Mary’s will be holding their Annual General Meeting in the church at 8pm on Wednesday 20th June.
The charity runs various events throughout the year to raise funds to provide those little extras for the church when normal Parochial Church Council funds are already stretched. Its main project at present is the building of a much needed all-access toilet and kitchen to make the church a friendlier and more useful facility in the community. Continue reading
