The Parish Council has had reports of bags of dog waste being thrown into gardens.
Residents are reminded that dog waste should be disposed of responsibly. There are numerous litter bins around the village, all of which can be used. If a public bin is full, please take the waste home and dispose of it in your own bin.

It has come to the Parish Council’s attention that utility repair and maintenance work has been scheduled to take place at the junction of Didcot Road and Sires Hill between 1st and 3rd February.
The work will be carried out by Thames Water. There will be multi-way traffic signals, so delays are possible.

The Parish Council has been advised by South Oxfordshire District Council (SODC) of a new planning application within the village.
The application, at The Little House, High Street, Long Wittenham, is for alterations to the roof of the existing the barn/workshop to the rear of the house.

Going Forward Buses, the company that provides the Monday and Wednesday bus service through the village, has advised the Parish Council that due to sudden driver illness it may need to reduce its services.

The Long Wittenham Community Speedwatch Group is almost up and running.
Parish Councillor David Corney has recruited six residents and they have received training from Thames Valley Police (TVP). A further two volunteers are soon to undergo training.
