Didcot Road Bus Stop

Following protracted negotiations with Oxfordshire County Council, mainly delayed by the Elivia developers, the very small bus stop area opposite the Saxons Heath junction with Didcot Road has been relocated to a much safer location at the entrance to Wessex Way.

Flagpole For The Village

The Parish Council has installed a flagpole next to the War Memorial just in time for, and prompted by, the VE Day 80th Anniversary celebrations.

County Council Election

The new Oxfordshire County Councillor for Long Wittenham is Johnny Hope-Smith who won the Cholsey & The Hagbournes seat for the Liberal Democrat Party on 1st May, taking 45% of the total vote with 1447 votes.  The turnout was 36.1%.
