A huge thank you to the organisers of the inaugural Long Wittenham Big Picnic Lunch which took place at Bodkins Field yesterday afternoon. A good turn out of approximately one hundred and fifty villagers and fine weather made it a great success and a splendid time was had by all.

Don’t forget that the Big Picnic Lunch is this coming Sunday 30th June from 12.15pm to 4.30pm at Bodkins field. All residents from Long and Little Wittenham are invited, the weather forecast is looking good, and it is FREE.
Only a little under two weeks to go until the annual Long Wittenham Music Festival at The Plough Inn on Friday 5th, Saturday 6th and Sunday 7th July.

Tickets are now on sale for this year’s Safari Supper which will take place on Saturday 14th September. It is organised by the Wittenham Warriors and proceeds will go to good causes in the village.
Plans for a boathouse on Maddy Moorings for Headington School have been approved by South Oxfordshire District Council. The moorings are between High Street and the River Thames towards Clifton Hampden, opposite Lower Farm.
