New Vicar Appointed

The PCC (Parochial Church Council) has announced the appointment of the Rev Jo (Joanna) Allen as Vicar for The Bridge Group.  She replaces the Rev Canon Paul Wignall who left in May.

Jo is soon to complete her Curacy, which she has served in the Benefice of Goring and Streatley with South Stoke. Continue reading

The Community Speedwatch Team is Recruiting

The Village Community Speedwatch Team are always on the look out to recruit new members and they are appealing to residents’ sense of community spirit to join them to help make the village roads safer.

New Parish Councillor

The Parish Council welcomed a new member to its ranks at its meeting last evening (14th September), when Mark Thompson was co-opted as  councillor to replace Sally Duff who stepped down from the council in July.

In addition to dog walking, Mark’s hobbies include flying, completing a long held ambition to achieve his Private Pilot’s Licence and travel. Continue reading

Road to Clifton Hampden Closure 3rd to 4th October

The Parish Council has been advised by the Network Management team at Oxfordshire County Council (OCC) that there will be a temporary road closure of the road to Clifton Hampden.

The closure, to facilitate water connection works, will operate overnight from 8pm Tuesday 3rd to 6am Wednesday 4th October.  See the Traffic Regulation Notice below. Continue reading

Pop-up Autumn Lunch

The Friends of St Mary’s will be hosting a Pop-up Autumn Lunch at St Mary’s Church on Saturday 7th October starting at 1pm.

The lunch will be prepared by cookery experts from the village and there will be a donations bar and live music.
